Paestum Holidays Legal Information
Last updated: 1 August 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Paestum Holidays (“we”, “us”, “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on paestumholidays.com (the “Site”), what they do, and the choices you have. Please read it together with our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help sites work, remember your preferences, and provide information to the site owner. Some are set by us (“first-party”) and some by the third-party services we use (“third-party”).
How we use cookies
We keep cookies to a minimum. When you first arrive on the Site, no analytics or tracking cookies are set. Analytics cookies are activated only if you choose “Accept” on our cookie banner, and you can change or withdraw your choice at any time (see “Your choices” below).
Cookies and technologies we use
1. Strictly necessary (always active)
These are required for the Site to function and to remember your privacy choice. They do not track you and do not require consent.
- pst_consent (first-party) — remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies, so we do not ask again on every page. Duration: about 6 months.
- WordPress session cookies (first-party, e.g. wordpress_*, wp-settings-*) — set only if you log in to the Site’s administration area (for staff). They are not set for ordinary visitors. Duration: from the session up to about 2 weeks.
2. Analytics — only with your consent
If you accept, we use Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google Ireland Ltd.) to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the Site so we can improve it. These cookies are set only after you click “Accept”.
- _ga (Google) — distinguishes individual visitors. Duration: up to 2 years.
- _ga_VXFXX5Z4V6 (Google) — keeps the analytics session state. Duration: up to 2 years.
- _gid (Google) — distinguishes visitors. Duration: 24 hours.
Google may process this data as described in the Google Privacy Policy. You can also install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
3. Third-party services on the Site
- Regiondo (booking system) — on individual tour and package pages the Regiondo booking box loads as part of the page, before you make any cookie choice, so that live availability and prices can be shown. It also loads scripts from Regiondo’s payment provider Stripe. Between them they store a cart-id value in your browser’s local storage and set the cookies __stripe_mid (about 1 year) and __stripe_sid (about 30 minutes) for payment-fraud prevention. These serve the booking and payment function only — not advertising, profiling or analytics. Pages without a booking box load nothing from Regiondo or Stripe.
- Web fonts — our fonts are hosted on our own server. No data is sent to Google or any other font provider when a page loads.
Links to WhatsApp and Instagram are ordinary links; those providers set cookies only if you choose to visit their sites.
Your choices
- Cookie banner — choose “Accept” or “Reject” when you first visit.
- Change your mind anytime — use the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer to reopen the banner and update or withdraw your consent.
- Browser settings — you can block or delete cookies in your browser. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect how the Site works.
Your rights
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Italian law, you have the right to access, correct, erase, and restrict the use of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. See our Privacy Policy for details and how to exercise these rights.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last revised.
