. one of these, of medieval origin, overlooking the blue sea of Cilento, offers, in addition to its beautiful beaches, a delightful historical center to visit, known for having hosted the filming of the successful comedy “Benvenuti al Sud”. The town of Agropoli , however, close to the archaeological area of Paestum, is a few kilometers from Castellabate and is the real gate of the Cilento National Park, with a functional harbor, a cozy castle with castle a promenade to walk around.

About 15 km south of Agropoli stands the medieval village of Castellabate (UNESCO World Heritage), the country of the film “Welcome to the South”.Perched on the plateau of a hill, covered by thick vegetation in which the Aleppo pine predominates and placed to guard its jewels (Lake, Santa Maria, San Marco, Ogliastro Marina) enclosed between Punta Licosa and Punta Tresino, the latter also precious localities belonging to Castellabate. You will experience in first person not only the scenarios and the views, but in an oasis of relaxation and tranquility you will discover the warmth, the welcome and the hospitality as seen in the film. We will visit the Pontifical Basilica of Santa Maria Assunta of great architectural and pictorial interest, in fact inside there are frescoes of the Giotto school and the Museum of Sacred Art that through paintings, statues, sacred furnishings and silvers will retrace the history, culture and faith of Castellabate.
